After graduating from the Industrial Design Department of METU in 1988, she moved to London to practice jewellery design. Upon her return to Turkey, she started working for MOB Company on interior design projects mainly for Conrad Hotel. Following this, she continued her career at ARTA architecture. Together with Hasan Demir Obuz, they established Demirden Design in 1994 and have since been working on many exhibition design projects that received numerous international awards. Being chairwoman of the Industrial Design Society of Turkey, she also participated in national design competitions as a member of jury.

In 2007 she established the ilio brand with partners from Demirden Design and now continues to be a part of the ilio team as Design Director.
